Shamayim

Sunday May 29, 2016

Michael Tate is our local parish priest.  He was sermonising this morning at St Mary of the Cross down the road from us in Ranelagh, pondering in part on the bringing forth of the future of Heaven into the present.  He then joined us for lunch and the blessing of our new house, Charis.

Is heaven already here?  Here are three pics from this week...

All is well in the fruit department...waiting for the warmer weather.

Dawn breaking in winter as seen from our bed.

The sheep grazing in the lower paddock.
You'll notice the sheep are in soft focus.  My apologies (especially to Kym) for naming these critters for they are destined, due to lack of feed in these here parts, to be hibernating in our freezer for the winter.  If there are any young folk about, please tell them that Karpov, Fischer and Tal are overseas at a chess tournament and unlikely to return for some time,,,

Bloggus Interuptus

21 May, 2015

Some people turn 80 today - how about that?

In the meantime there has been quite the hiatus in the blog department due to some small technical issues such as lack of power, phone, internet etc as we move from our rented tin shed in the middle of a paddock to the permanent site of TertiusActus.

There are so many things to write about the transition and the result is that I don't know where to start!  We do think the view from Blogger Central looks great!

Distractions, distractions....<sigh>
We are still surrounded by boxes and camping in terms of equipment/clothes etc.  There have been an army of helpers through including Sue today who took us through the garden and identified all of the plants, as well as outlining what needs to be done.  I've also been on to Gardenate as recommended by the local nursery.

I won't write too much today (awfully tired and emotional) - but thanks for staying with us for the journey - watch this space...

P.S. Fischer, Tal and Karpov say "Baaaa" which means "Hi".

Tal, Fischer and Karpov

Saturday 7th May, 2016

We did our pre-settlement inspection today, warmly greeted by Tal, Fischer and Karpov as shown below:
Former world champions now enjoying their retirement...
Kym surveyed her Kingdom in preparation, as "Winter is Coming"

...and a nice panorama from the top paddock (where there are a few loose roos)

The view from the top...
